Be a part of our holiday vision

Watching the Nutcracker performed by the Kansas City Ballet is an annual treat for many—and visions of sugar plums dance all around the metro.
We’re enjoying our own related visions here at the Kauffman Center, now that we can actually see the orchestra pit taking shape for our proscenium theater. Our staff is dreaming of families enjoying the Nutcracker in a dazzling new, state-of-the-art hall. And it’s not a bit too early for you to be part of this vision.
The center that’s taking shape at 16th and Broadway is much more than a building—it is the heart of the arts in Kansas City. In just three years, we’ll be sending out holiday notes with a glowing photo of a child sitting in a dazzling new theater, mesmerized by the Nutcracker. We’ll be able to share pictures of school children excitedly being turned on to classical music as the Kansas City Symphony tunes up their instruments for a holiday concert in the acoustically perfect Concert Hall. Then we’ll host educators engaged in community outreach efforts to showcase the elaborate productions of the Lyric Opera.
Your gift will make this—and much more—possible. We can’t do it without you, nor do we want to try. We want thousands of people like you to have an investment in the Kauffman Center. Then we want to dazzle you with performing arts that provide a goose-bump-producing return on your investment.
Won’t you join us now? Feel free to call us about making a gift of stock, or to discuss a naming opportunity. Or simply put a check in the mail today. We promise to put your gift to great use.
